Aaliyah Dana Haughton burst into fame in 1994 after she released her debut Album Age Ain't Nothing More Than a number. She was only 15 at that time, and the album became Gold. It was made as part of a group that was greatly inspired by R. Kelly and it placed her in the limelight. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland in her second studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling track If Your Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah's second album, One in a Million was released in 1996. It included the first hit single If Your Girl Only Knew. The year 2000 saw her co-starred with the legendary martial artist Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, a film producer, who was attending an award show at the time she landed the role, noticed her. Queen of the Damned was her debut role in 2002. It is based off the Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels saw her playing Zee following her appearance in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions that same year. In 2001, 1999, 2002, and 2003 she was nominated for four Grammy awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. The actress is from Indian descent and was born in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann is an abbreviation for her marital name Mankad. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar as her professional name. While her initial career was dominated by minor movie and TV performances, she rose to greater notoriety in the late 2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). The actress also appeared in a variety of commercials including Volvo and many other major car brands. She lives with her family in Los Angeles with her husband as well as her daughter, and will continue to pursue an acting profession.
